James Wilson
James Wilson of Pennsylvania is one of our least known Founding Fathers. A member of the Constitutional Convention and a signer of the Declaration of Independence, he was initially opposed to seeking independence from Britain. Wilson eventually voted in favor of independence, assuring Pennsylvania's solidarity with the effort.
James Wilson was also very influential in the writing of the Constitution, and it bears the marks of his hand in many places. He is also a signer of the historic document.
